My name is Avruhom Yehida Balser, but many call me Avi. I wish we could meet in person so we could build the normal merchant/customer trust and relationship, but online this is a bit difficult.
However, I will try to accomplish this in the best ways I can think of.
Getting to know you is easy, as you can eMail me and tell me your needs in whatever detail you wish. No matter what you purchase from me, my goal is to satisfy you, so, please feel free to contact me as much as you need to, to make sure we both know what you need.
The harder thing is for you go get to know me. Is is easy to be afraid to shop on the Internet, and especially on eBay. Who are you buying from? It can be truly scary.
That is why I put a handful of my pictures on top of this page. No, I do not believe you can know a person by his/her picture, however it is a beginning... at least you know what I look like.
My background in Yiddishkeit is a combination of Chassidish and Yeshivish, and I grew up in Boro Park and Williamsburg.
I now live directly behind the shul of Inverrary Chabad where I daven. I am not Chabad myself, but I daven there. When I am not sitting at my computer overlooking Inverrary Country Club's golf course, working on this business, I am also on the Chevra Kadisha here, so sometimes it may take a few hours to reach me, if I have a tahara, etc.
I created this online Tallis and Tefillin business to make it easier for those who either do not have the time to go to the sofer or store, or for the thousands of Frum Jews who no longer live close to one.
My goal is to try my best to make your shopping experience as close to shopping in person as possible.
ALL of the merchandise I carry is 100% kosher!
Due to privacy issues, I can't put people's names all over this website, however, I would be happy to discuss the kashrush of my merchandise with YOUR Rov at any time, as well as provide him with references.
My Talleisim/Tzitzis products all come under Rav Vozner's hechsher, and all tzitzis is eacher machine koful shoineh, or avodas yad. All tzitzis are tied by Shomer Shabbos men. If you wish, talleisim can be shipped to you with tzitzis "on the side" still with the hechsher label attached, and you may tie them.
All of my STaM is checked by a Magia with smicha, who is authorized to certify for the BaDaTz of the Aida HaChareidis of Yerushalayim. This magia works out of the home of my associate's brother in Yerushalayim , and all sofrim are personally known to both of them. This Magia, personally certifies all parashos as 100% kosher, and also takes them to be computer scanned at Mercaz Mishmeres STaM. Each product comes with the Magia's "tzetl" with two stamps of it. One indicating his personal checking, and the other certifying that he had the parasha checked by Mishmeres STaM.
No, BaDaTz does NOT certify any Peshutim Mehudarim batim, but everything else comes under their hechsher. However, even the Peshurim Mehudarim batim come from reliable sources, and are the type that Rav Moishe zt'l approved of.
If you have further concerns regarding the kashrus of any of my products, please contact me, or better yet, have your rov contact me. I will be VERY glad to satisfy his concerns.
Also, if you have any thoughts in how I can improve my service, please do not hesitate to write to me. I welcome criticism.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope you give me the opportunity and mitzvah of helping you with your tallis, tefillin and mezzuzah needs.
Thank you,
Avruhom Yehida Balser
